BareStage Productions presents
Cyrano De Bergerac
Directed by Arya Vishin
Produced by Genevieve Beimforde
Stage Managed by Anna DeBettencourt
A masterful poet convinced of his own undesirability, Cyrano secretly loves the dazzling, intelligent Roxane. Roxane, however, has fallen in love with the handsome but ineloquent Christian. When Cyrano offers to serve as Christian’s poetic voice— unbeknownst to Roxane— it sparks a love triangle that raises questions of attraction and identity for all of them. With influence from rap, rhyme, and modern verse, this modern twist on a classic play of looks, love, and language will astound.
This show uses flashing lights. There will be a performance with NO flashing lights on March 9th.
The directions to the Choral Rehearsal Hall require patrons to go down a couple sets of stairs to enter the theater. If you have a mobility-related access need, you can enter the building through the Lower Sproul Parking Garage on Bancroft Way and Dana Street. Turn left to reach the white wall with two sets of double doors with a ramp to their right. The left-most double doors will be labeled with a BareStage sign, but the doors require key card access to enter the building.
Please contact the Producer of the show, Genevieve Beimforde at genevievebeimforde@berkeley.edu by 12pm the day of the performance to ensure someone can get the door for you.
