Pollan is the former John S. and James L. Knight Professor of Journalism at Berkeley Journalism and co-founder of the UC Berkeley Center for the Science of Psychedelics. He is the author of nine books, including The Omnivore’s Dilemma: A Natural History of Four Meals, The Botany of Desire: A Plant’s-Eye View of the World, and his latest, This is Your Mind on Plants
